Danum explorer

For some time our longer tours have included the amazing Danum Valley conservation area in eastern Sabah. Danum is one of the oldest rainforests in the World, and has some of Borneo's best wildlife spotting opportunities. Here you can usually see wild orangutan, gibbon and many birds and other animals - even elephants.
Our tours ride the deserted dirt roads of Danum, take in jungle and nature trekking, as well as the superb canopy walk.
This is an exclusive tour which can be taken as a fly in 2 night option, or as part of a longer tour of Sabah. Number are strictly limited and monitored.
Big Borneo biking adventures

Kinabalu foothills
Our 4 day/3 night Kinabalu foothills tour takes us through the wilds of this dramatic region. Starting from the town of Ranau we ride kampung and dirt roads for four days (2 half days rides). During this time we will pass through amazing mountain scenery, tea plantations and jungles. We ride place to place, staying at a local home-stay, a hotel and a longhouse - eventually ending our journey in a remote village beneath Kianablu before transferring back to KK.
Grade 2-3
Croker Range traverse
The mighty Croker Range of mountains is the backbone of Sabah,. We start our 6 day/5 night journey with a transfer to the agricultural town of Temom. Following a half day ride around the local coffee plantation we spend the next few days riding along the base of the Croker's. From Tenom we ride on a mix or offroad and kampung roads to Keningau, then on to Tambunan, over the high road passes to Ranau, and ultimately to the foot of Kinabalu, a great adventure through remote Borneo countryside.
Grade 3
The Death March route
Following as close as we can we trace the historic routes of the tragic Sandakan Death Marches of the second world war (where over 1600 POW's were marched to death through the Borneo jungles). We start from Sandakan and make our way through the jungles of North Borneo via Telupid, Beluran and Sabah Tea Garden to eventually arrive in Ranau; great remote biking, and a truly meaningful tour. We use hotels, homestay's and a long house on this tour.
** There is also the option to visit the Orangutan Sanctuary in Sepolik on this tour
Grade 2
Something for the weekend, or any other time...

Kuala Penyu explorer
An early morning departure from your KK hotel allows us to reach the tranquil Kuala Penyu coastal region by mid morning, and to be in the saddle shortly after. During our two days of biking here will will spend around 5 hours a day cruising through superb coastal and agricultural countryside, snapping at the shores of the South China Sea and dodging palm trees. Great rolling dirt road riding, and seriously tranquil.
We spend our evening in a relaxing seaside lodge (twin or single rooms with fan/bathroom). The package includes food and refreshments, and you will have a bike guide all the way, and vehicle support for groups of 4+.
There is also the option of an evening wildlife cruise on the KLIAS river, spotting the long nosed Proboscis monkey and more.
Grade 2
Northern wonders
Heading north we transfer to Kudat, a land renown for it's "cowboy" horsemen. We start out tour by riding around the tranquil backroads of the region, passing through sleepy stilt villages and paddy fields along the way. Later in the day we make a short transfer to the Kudat region, where we spend an evening in a traditional Rungus Longhouse, chatting and enjoying ourselves with the enchanting locals, maybe over a local ride wine or three, a truly emorable experience.
The following day we spend riding dirt and backroads, before ultimately making a short transfer to our hotel in Kudat, from where we finish our riding on day three with a stunning coastal ride to the very Tip of Borneo. Following a swim we transfer back to KK.
Grade 1-2
Day trips

We offer three great biking day trips - either on request or on set dates. Our guide/driver will collect you from your hotel early morning and drive to our chosen biking region, where you will spend around 5 hours cycling through kampung roads and dirt roads, stopping off for lunch, and generally soaking up the mix of cultural and adventure you find along the way - a great mini adventure. You're guide will be with you at all times, while the comfort of a support vehicle and a chilled drink is only ever a short ride away. You will be taken back to your hotel late afternoon, just in time for a sunset drink.
Tuaran backroads - the closest "true" countryside to KK. Riding beneath the shadow of Mount Kinabalu we spend the day riding through agricultural lands, peppered with stilt houses, paddy fields and roamed by water buffalo. Grade 1-2
